WHERE ARE THEY NOW
The following statistics are accurate thru games played
September 23, 2007:
- Former Mets catcher and future Hall of Famer, Mike
Piazza, was hitting .281 for the Oakland Athletics.
- All time saves leader, Trevor Hoffman, set a major
league record by picking up his 40th save of the season.
It was the ninth time in Hoffman's career that he has
saved at least 40 games in a season. With a fastball of
only 86 - 89mph, it is amazing what he continues to do
for the San Diego Padres. His 522 career saves are the
most in major league history.
- Future Hall of Famer, Ken Griffey Jr. of the
Cincinnati Reds will take the rest of the year off.
Junior had his best season since 2004. He hit .277; with
30 homers and 93 rbi 's.
- Former Phillies General Manager Ed Wade was hired as
General Manager of the Astros.
