No manager can be that stupid.
And congratulations to Jeff Wilpon and the N.Y.Mets. On February 12th, Wilpon
said that the new Mets stadium will seat 45 thousand people and will be called
Citi Field. The beautiful new 800 million dollar stadium is set to open in 2009.
And congratulations to Seattle Mariners broadcaster Dave Niehaus. Niehaus
beat out legendary Yankees broadcaster Bobby Murcer for this year's Ford C. Frick Award. The Ford C. Frick Award makes Dave Niehaus a Hall of Famer in the broadcasters wing of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Bobby Murcer will almost certainly win the award next year. And congratulations to World Series champion Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona. The Red Sox have extended his contract thru the 2011 season. And congratulations to 10 time gold glove winner Andruw Jones. Jones recently signed a 2 year 36 million dollar contract with the Dodgers.
And congratulations to Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte, who has been getting
standing ovations everywhere he goes and pitches. Andy has 13 consecutive winning seasons to start a career. Only legendary Hall of Famer Cy Young has more.
Cy Young started his major league career with 15 consecutive winning seasons.
