SUGGESTIONS
It's hard to believe the huge amount
of people that fell in love with a Melanie concert. Especially
if she had her best stuff. Needless to Say: Her best stuff is
her old stuff. It's what got her several gold records. It's what
made her a superstar in Europe. Her new stuff is what she
insists on playing. And that's where she went wrong.
Her last hundred shows are saturated with new below average
unheard songs. No one is telling her what to do; but she should
limit her shows with no more than two or three new songs. But
ironically she's doing about 97% new songs that no one has ever
heard; and 3% of her old vintage material. No wonder she hasn't
had a hit record in more than 20 years. We strongly suggest that
she should give her audience what they want to hear. And if she
doesn't; her next sold out concert will almost certainly be
about 11 people. Oh well..... As for Wilson Betemit; It is
simply silly to start him at first base against left handed
pitchers. The man can not hit right handed. It's almost a
disgrace to watch him strike out 80% of the time batting right
handed; while Shelley Duncan rots on the bench. Shelley Duncan
needs to start against all lefties; and manager Girardi better
take some good advice. Shelley could be the difference between
making the playoffs or going home on October 3rd. How stubborn
can Girardi be? This brings us to Kei Igawa. If manager Girardi
thinks that he can get to the World Series without a left handed
reliever he is totally dreaming.
