BASEBALL NOSTALGIA

I want to thank everybody for the great response to this popular new category. I've been longing for the opportunity and the information to properly update this boundless category. I think it was worth the wait.                                            Now that the holiday season is here; and the baseball world waits and watches for hundreds of free agents to relocate and/or re sign with their current teams; I would like to let you know that the Yankees have scouts everywhere. One of my favorite nostalgia Yankees of all time is their former catcher, broadcaster and awesome new manager, Joe Girardi. Who would've thought that Girardi would get the job over Yankees legend, Don Mattingly? But the more you think about it, the more you realize that Girardi was the right decision. With all due respect to Mattingly; he just wasn't ready to take over. Not just yet. Look for Donnie Baseball in the new Yankee Stadium, somewhere down the road. But in the meantime, you can expect Girardi to take the Yankees to the World Series in 2008. Manager Girardi has a knack to excel in almost everything he sets his mind to. Read more...
